Proposal

My proposal is to make a 3D animated short film around 1minute to 1 minute 30. The short film is going to be an action packed clip (character A vs character B).

The characters are motorcycle riders that have there bikes transform in a suit of armor. I would like the 3D model standard to be quite high so that it looks professional. The models are being made in 3Ds max and the animation will be done in maya.

I have always had a passion for motorcycles since a very young age. This is one of the reasons why i chosen to make a short film about bikes. Also i am a very big sci fi fan and love the fact that i now have this opportunity to make transforming suit of armor. Another reason why i am making a animated short film   is because i am quite a strong 3D modeller.

some of the art that influenced me to make this film is from an artist call Scott Robertson, he is an artist that mainly digitally draws future concept vehicles but some of his work is of robot vehicles that take on the shape of animals or humans.

I would like to do 2 renders of my film one as a standard render and the other one in cel shade. I would like to do this because i have always been a big fan of cel shaded work because of the way it stands out and defines all the detail in an image or object.

Some of the reference images i used for inspiration
  • Chris Nolans tumbler from Batman The Dark Knight
  • Michael Bays Transformers
  • John Favreaus iron man
  • suzuki gs500f
During the Summer Show I would like to make a big QR code that translates in to my 3D model so that the people in the show can stand next to an augmented reality version of my model via a webcam.
