3D models are made by using a 3D modelling software, clay or by scanning. 3D models are manly using in the movies and video game industry. But can also be used in other fields of work such as concept artists ect. Some models are made reference images, this allows the artist to get a more precise model. other times the artist just starts out with a cube or a sphere.
game design is the development of games this can range form character design to level design and even script and story boards. Game design has to start from ideas and then develop, from this point the maker can develop concepts. The designer has also got the job to mach up the style of gameplay to the design of the game.
animation is the display of image in a motion that create movement to the viewer. This can be done with 3D models or images and in the present day motion tracking and mapping. Animation can be used for games and movies in softwares like flash and maya. Stop motion animation is the through the use of still images on physical objects to give them movement, this gives the illusion that the object is actually moving.
